About Us
Root & Rise Tea Company started the way most good things do — small, and a little unofficially. Before we were a registered business, we were just brewing blends at home, adjusting ratios of chamomile and lemon balm until something felt right, and asking friends to tell us the truth about how it tasted.
We officially became Root & Rise Tea Company LLC in January 2026, but the mindset hasn't changed: stay small, stay honest, and build one batch at a time. Our first run was ten jars of each of our seven blends — Unwind, Awaken, Ease, Center, Thrive, Nourish, and Breathe — made by hand and sold in person before we ever had a website.

What We Believe
We think you should be able to actually know what's in your tea. Every blend on this site lists its real ingredients, sourced from certified-organic suppliers, with plain information about what each herb is and why it's there. No vague wellness language, no mystery blends — just tea we'd want to drink ourselves.
Where We're Headed
Right now, our herbs come from established organic suppliers. Longer term, we're working toward closer relationships with local growers, so more of what's in your cup can be traced back to a specific farm, not just a supplier list. We're not there yet, and we won't pretend otherwise — but it's the direction we're building toward.
Part of Something Larger
Root & Rise is the first piece of a longer-term project from our founder, Ky King — an agriculture manager, grower, and veteran who's spent years managing a market garden and thinking hard about what it means to grow things well, whether that's plants, a business, or a community.
The long-term goal is land of our own in Georgia: a place that can eventually support agriculture, education, and space for people — growers, veterans, families, anyone — to slow down and reconnect with where their food and herbs actually come from. That vision is still early. There's no property secured yet, and no set timeline, and we're not going to describe it as further along than it is. But it's the direction everything here is quietly building toward, one honest batch of tea at a time.
